New Jersey 7-Day Outlook

A developing nor'easter will bring a significant winter storm to New Jersey Wednesday night through Thursday. The track of the storm will set up a sharp rain/snow line across the state. Northwest Interior will see the highest snow totals — 8-12" is likely in Sussex and Warren counties where cold air is locked in at elevation. North Jersey picks up 4-7" with heavier amounts in the western suburbs. Central Jersey sees 3-5" but with some rain mixing closer to the shore. South Jersey and the Shore will be predominantly rain with this system, with 1-2.5" of liquid. The Shore faces the added threat of 45-55 mph wind gusts and minor coastal flooding during Thursday morning's high tide cycle. By Friday, the storm pulls away and high pressure builds in for a pleasant weekend. Temperatures rebound into the mid-40s by Sunday.
